Dive into Saltine’s journey as Sculpture 2052’s PR Agency, as we worked to position our client as a forward-thinking art space and research platform bringing monumental contemporary sculpture into Singapore’s cultural spotlight. Our objective was to introduce the art space not just as an exhibition venue, but as a long-term cultural research project dedicated to shaping the future of sculpture in Singapore. To do this, we crafted a media narrative around the launch of Being Human: Forging Fields of Experience, an immersive exhibition by renowned Taiwanese sculptor Prof. Liu Po-Chun.

Rather than presenting a conventional exhibition, Being Human: Forging Fields of Experience captivates audiences with its sheer physical presence, a 6-metre-tall immersive installation composed of 188 steel figures weighing over 400kg, all crafted from recycled industrial materials. The monumental scale transforms the gallery into a maze of towering human forms, inviting visitors to walk through, around, and within the work itself, experiencing sculpture not just as an object to observe, but as a space to inhabit.
Beyond its visual impact, the exhibition explores profound themes of sustainability, human resilience, and the tension between industrial progress and inner life. Prof. Liu Po-Chun’s sculptures draw inspiration from Buddhist philosophy and the symbolic strength of guardian figures, reimagining discarded steel as embodiments of protection, vulnerability, and quiet endurance. The result is an exhibition that is at once environmentally conscious and deeply emotive, where material weight meets spiritual reflection.

The exhibition is further enriched by the curatorial vision of Dr. Susie Lingham, whose perspective situates the works within wider global conversations on cultural identity, material culture, and the human condition. Her curatorial approach deepens the audience’s understanding of how contemporary sculpture can reflect social change and emotional complexity.
The launch itself marked a notable moment for Singapore’s arts scene, graced by distinguished guests including the Vice-Chancellor of the University of the Arts Singapore as Guest of Honour. More than an opening night, it became a gathering that underscored the growing cultural relevance of contemporary sculpture and its role in shaping public dialogue.

Saltine Communications, as Sculpture 2052’s PR agency, implemented a tailored media outreach strategy to amplify the art space’s vision and raise its profile within Singapore’s cultural landscape. By centering the narrative on large-scale contemporary sculpture, sustainability, and immersive artistic experiences, we highlighted how Sculpture 2052 is redefining how audiences engage with sculptural art in Singapore and the region.
Through strategic media placements, Saltine Communications secured coverage across key arts, culture, and lifestyle platforms, effectively introducing Sculpture 2052’s mission and its landmark exhibition to a wider audience. Our approach combined thoughtful storytelling with strong media relationships to ensure the space’s message reached the right communities at the right time, playing an important role in positioning Sculpture 2052 as a distinctive and credible voice in the contemporary art scene.
